The SkinsVault take
LootBear no longer exists as a skin-rental service. Checked 26 August 2026, lootbear.com redirects to tradeit.gg with a welcome=lootbear tag, and the rental product is gone. We have withdrawn our rating rather than adjust it, because scoring a service nobody can sign up for would imply we still had an opinion about it. Tradeit.gg is covered under its own entry.
LootBear no longer exists as a rental service
This page used to review LootBear as the only established CS2 skin-rental platform: a monthly subscription, a borrowed knife, swap as often as you like. That product is gone, and we are leaving the page up rather than deleting it because people still search for the name and deserve a straight answer about where it went.
What happens if you go to lootbear.com today
The domain redirects. Checked on 26 August 2026, lootbear.com returns a 301 to app.lootbear.com, which returns a second 301 to tradeit.gg with a welcome=lootbear parameter attached. The deep links go the same way: lootbear.com/rent lands on Tradeit.gg's store. The destination is Tradeit.gg's ordinary trading site, and the trailing parameter reads as a migration tag for arriving LootBear users.
Tradeit.gg's own footer names Tradeit.gg LLC, at 16192 Coastal Hwy, Lewes, Delaware, together with TRADEITGG LTD at Nissi 68, Agia Napa, Famagusta, Cyprus.
What this means for you
There is no skin rental at the other end. Tradeit.gg is a buy, sell and trade marketplace: you can acquire a knife or trade into one, but you cannot rent it for a month and hand it back, which was the entire reason LootBear existed. Anyone arriving here looking to try an expensive skin before committing to buy it should know that the option they are looking for is not available at this destination, and as far as we can tell is not available at scale anywhere else either.

Why the rating is gone
We used to score LootBear 3.9 out of 5. That score has been withdrawn rather than adjusted. It described a subscription rental service, and rating a product that no longer runs would be worse than not rating it: the number would keep implying we had an opinion about something a reader could still sign up for. Tradeit.gg is covered separately in this directory and keeps its own entry, so nothing is lost by removing this one.
What we have not verified
When the rental service actually shut down, because neither site announces it. Whether existing rental subscriptions were refunded, migrated or simply ended. And whether the LootBear inventory, which was supplied by owners listing their own skins for rental income, was returned to those owners. If you had skins listed with LootBear, those are questions worth putting to Tradeit.gg support directly.
Who it suits
Nobody, as a rental service, because it is not one any more. If you followed a LootBear link and want a trading site, Tradeit.gg is where you have landed and we cover it under its own entry. If you specifically wanted to rent rather than own, the honest answer is that this category has effectively closed.
Why we don't push this site
SkinsVault makes money from affiliate commissions on the 12 partner sites we link to with the SKINSVAULT code. We don't have a deal with LootBear, so signing up there earns us nothing, and we have no incentive to push you toward it. We list LootBear because it's a real platform that's worth knowing about, not because we want your signup. If you want our full conversion treatment with bonus codes and ranked partners, see our ranked list.
