    Best CS2 free case sites · 2026

Three sites we have tested ourselves give genuinely free CS2 cases, no deposit, no credit card, real withdrawable skins. One of them runs a daily free-case routine you can claim indefinitely. They are ranked first, by drop quality and free-case mechanic, tested May 2026. Below them sit ten more sites from our directory whose own SkinsVault review records a free case, untested by us and marked as such.

How the free cases work at the three we tested

    Clash.gg4.9 / 5

Best starter cases + highest-rated site overall. Three cases drop into your account when you register with code SKINSVAULT. Open immediately, no deposit required for the signup cases. Deposit required: None for the 3 signup cases; required if you want to continue after. Best-rated case-opening site in our test set (4.9/5), if you upgrade from free to paid, you stay on the strongest platform.

    Cases.gg4.2 / 5

Register with SKINSVAULT, get a free starter case credited to your account. Open instantly without depositing. Deposit required: None for the starter case. Lightweight, no-friction case opener, good for testing if you want to see how case opening feels before committing to a bigger site.

    Howl.gg4.7 / 5

Genuinely no-deposit daily routine, every day. Free case drops every 24 hours on your account. No deposit, no credit card, no verification wall. Just claim and open. Deposit required: None, ever. Skins earned from free cases are fully withdrawable to your Steam inventory. $15K max payout per withdrawal.

Free case sites we cover but are not paid on

Neither site issued SkinsVault a code, so there is no promo code to enter, no tracked link and no commission on either of them. They are here because our own review of each one records a free case. We have not put either through our own free-case assessment.

    • Skin.Club

Case site that publishes per-item odds with explicit ticket ranges, viewable without an account.

Our review lists free cases and missions among what the site offers, and separately notes that it publishes per-item odds with explicit ticket ranges, visible without an account.

No code, no deal. Untested by us.

    • LootBox

Recent entrant, mixes CS2 cases with real-world physical loot crates.

Our review lists a free daily box, and notes that the site's own terms tie it to completing KYC first. We have not claimed one ourselves.

No code, no deal. Untested by us.

How we rank free case sites

Volume and drop ceiling are what matter

A "free case" that contains only $0.03 items is not worth mentioning. We rank free-case programs on three factors: the number of cases you can claim without ever depositing (volume), the highest possible drop value from those cases (ceiling), and how long the site has been running its free-case program without reducing it (reliability). Sites that offer one signup case are ranked lower than sites with a genuine daily recurring cadence, because a one-time claim is a signup hook, not a program. Only the three sites at the top of this page have been through that assessment; everything below them is listed on what our own review of that brand already records, and is marked as untested.

    Optimal setup · free-case stack

    The no-deposit routine

    1. 01.Register at Clash.gg with code SKINSVAULT. Open the 3 signup cases immediately, biggest one-time drop ceiling.
    2. 02.Register at Howl.gg with SKINBET. Set a daily reminder to claim the free case, 24h cadence.
    3. 03.Optional: Cases.gg for the one-time starter case. Lower priority but free is free.
    4. 04.Daily routine after setup: one claim at Howl.gg, a few seconds. Accumulate drops over weeks. Withdraw to Steam when you've built up something worth pulling.

    FAQ

Can I really open CS2 cases for free in 2026?+
Yes, at the three ranked sites at the top of this page, actually yes. Howl.gg gives daily free cases to every user with no deposit requirement. Clash.gg gives 3 free cases on signup. Cases.gg gives a starter case. Clash.gg and Cases.gg take code SKINSVAULT at signup and Howl.gg takes SKINBET, which in some cases boosts the free offer further. The skins you drop from free cases are fully withdrawable, this isn't a 'you can only spend bonus credit' trick, it's real inventory that transfers to your Steam account. The ten in the second group of the directory also record a free case in their own SkinsVault review, but we have not put any of them through our own free-case assessment, so treat the three ranked sites as the tested set.
What's the catch on free cases?+
The catch is expected value: the free cases usually skew toward lower-tier drops (blue / purple / low-mil-spec) rather than covert + knives. The sites hope you'll have fun opening, hit one decent drop, get hooked on the loop, and eventually deposit. That's a real business model. The counter-move: enjoy the free loop for what it is (5-30 seconds of daily no-cost dopamine), don't let the good-but-not-great free drops convince you to deposit chasing bigger drops unless you genuinely want to.
Which free case site gives the best drops?+
Howl.gg has the most generous drop pool on daily free cases in our experience, you regularly see covert-tier drops across a month of daily claiming. Clash.gg's 3 signup cases are premium, two of them are competitive with paid cases from other sites. Cases.gg's starter is the most basic of the three ranked sites. If optimising purely for drop ceiling: Clash.gg's signup cases > Howl.gg daily > Cases.gg starter. We have not opened the free cases at the ten in the second group, so they are not in this comparison.
Do I need to verify my Steam account to claim free cases?+
You need a Steam account linked (so skins have somewhere to go when you withdraw) but no ID verification / KYC / deposit is required for free cases on any of the three ranked sites. Signup is email + password + Steam link, under 2 minutes at each site. SKINSVAULT goes in the promo field at signup. Once linked, free cases are claimable immediately. This answer covers the three ranked sites only: the ten in the second group set their own terms, and LootBox's, for one, tie its free daily box to completing KYC first.
Can I use all three ranked sites together?+
Yes, and it's the optimal setup if you want to maximise no-deposit CS2 case opening. Claim Clash.gg's 3 signup cases once (one-time, biggest drop ceiling). Set Howl.gg as a daily routine, one free case every 24h. Cases.gg is a quick one-time starter. Clash.gg and Cases.gg take SKINSVAULT; Howl.gg takes SKINBET. Combined setup is under 10 minutes; the ongoing daily routine is a single claim at Howl.gg.
Are free CS2 cases provably fair?+
Yes on all three ranked sites. Free cases use the same provably-fair math as paid cases, server seed + client seed + nonce, verifiable after each opening. You can paste the seeds into our free /tools/provably-fair verifier to independently confirm the drop wasn't manipulated. The 'free' part refers to the cost of opening; the fairness math is identical to paid cases.
What happens if I want to stop after using free cases?+
Nothing. None of the three ranked sites lock you in. You don't need to deposit to keep claiming Howl.gg's daily free case or to withdraw drops you've already earned. You can claim free cases for months without ever depositing, withdraw whatever you get, and walk away. The sites make money from the fraction of users who do deposit; the ones who just use the free stuff are a net cost to them, but that's the deal.
What's the difference between daily free cases and signup bonus cases?+
Daily free cases, which Howl.gg gives every user, are an ongoing product feature, available every 24h as long as you keep the account active. Signup bonus cases (Clash.gg's 3 cases, Cases.gg's starter) are one-time rewards at registration. Daily = slow accumulation over weeks/months. Signup = bigger one-time drop ceiling, then done. Both are legit free; the structures are different. If you want long-term no-cost play, prioritise daily. If you want the biggest one-shot, prioritise signup.
