How We Test CS2 Gambling Sites: Our Full Methodology

Why we're publishing this

Most CS2 ranking sites don't tell you how they rank. They slap "#1 Best Site!" on whoever paid the most for affiliate placement and call it editorial. We're trying to do the opposite: document the test exactly so you can judge whether the ranking holds up, and so the sites we cover know what bar they have to clear.

This methodology applies to every site on our ranked list. When it was last run, and what actually triggers a re-run, is set out at the foot of this page.

The five factors

1. Provably-fair verification

We check whether the site exposes server seeds, client seeds, and nonce values, and whether those values can be cross-referenced against a published hash. We then pick a random game outcome and try to reproduce it using the exposed seed data. If the math doesn't match, the site fails this factor.

Case-opening sites that don't offer provably-fair mechanics are not disqualified, they're just noted, and their trust score lowers.

2. Bonus value

This is where most ranking sites cheat, they quote the nominal welcome offer ("$1,000 bonus!") without reading the wagering requirements. We do the math:

• What's the total you'd actually have to wager to unlock the full bonus?
• What's the minimum cash-out after the bonus clears?
• Are there games where the bonus credit doesn't apply?
• Does the bonus expire, and how soon?

The effective value of the bonus, the amount you could realistically withdraw after meeting conditions at average luck, drives the score. A $1,000 bonus with 40x wagering across games where 60% contribute is worth less than a $100 bonus with 1x wagering.

3. KYC and withdrawal friction

Some sites pay instantly. Some sites pay instantly until you hit their threshold for KYC and then suddenly need a selfie with your ID and a utility bill. We test both scenarios.

Deductions:

• KYC required before first deposit: −1
• KYC required for withdrawals under $500: −1
• Withdrawal minimums that exceed typical session balances: −1
• Terms that permit the site to cancel winnings for undefined "suspicious activity": −1

4. Support response

We open a live chat with a specific, verifiable question, something like "I deposited via [crypto], what's the minimum bet that clears the welcome bonus?", and we time how long until a human responds with a correct answer. Bots answering with generic scripts don't count; we wait for an actual agent.

5. User experience + community signal

The qualitative factor. Does the site feel built by people who play CS2 or people who hired a casino template? Does the community on Discord/Reddit broadly trust the platform, or are there repeat complaints about specific issues? This is the part where editorial judgment matters, but we're explicit about it rather than pretending it's all numeric.

What we do NOT factor in

• Affiliate commission rate. A site paying us 30% doesn't outrank one paying 10%. Rankings are independent.
• Logo or brand age. Being around since 2016 doesn't earn points if the site is slow or shady now.
• Marketing spend. We don't promote sites more just because they advertise more.

When we re-test

We used to say monthly here. That was a promise rather than a record: the last full scoring round ran in May 2026. Rather than publish a cadence we have not kept, this section says what happened instead of what is planned.

What does trigger a re-test: a platform change, a new licence, a new bonus structure, a change of ownership, or a reader telling us a code no longer matches. Every review carries the date its figures were taken.
