    DMarket Review

    4.3/5
    · Marketplace· Ukraine (EU), since 2017

Ukraine-based skin marketplace with peer-to-peer trading and instant withdrawals.

    The SkinsVault take

DMarket's biggest pull is the F2F (face-to-face) trade flow, both sides can negotiate before the swap, instead of a take-it-or-leave-it listing. Fees sit higher than Skinport but the liquidity on rare items is better.

    DMarket Review 2026

DMarket is a skin marketplace with a second product bolted alongside it. You can sell an item for cash like anywhere else, or you can use the Trade tab to swap items directly and settle the difference in balance. The fee schedule treats those two flows differently, and on CS2 the sell fee is not one number at all. That is the part worth reading closely.

SkinsVault may earn a commission if you register through a link on this page. DMarket is not in our timed withdrawal tracker, so nothing here is a payout speed we measured. Everything below was read on DMarket's own site and help centre on 6 August 2026.

    Who Runs It

DMarket names its operating companies in its terms of use, which is more than most of this category does. The terms define the Company as DMarket Inc., registered number 7914588, a Delaware corporation at 221 N Broad Street, Suite 3A, Middletown, New Castle County, DE 19709, together with Mythical, Inc., registered number 6843771, also a Delaware corporation, and Mythical Games, Unipessoal, Lda, registered number 517097346, at Avenida da Liberdade 110 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Those are corporate registrations, not gambling licences, and the distinction gets blurred constantly here. DMarket does not need a gaming licence because it does not run gambling, so read the numbers as evidence that real legal entities stand behind the site. Governing law and jurisdiction are Delaware. The terms we read were dated 18 December 2023, and they also set a minimum age of 18 and reserve the right to refuse residents of sanctioned countries, naming the Russian Federation and Belarus explicitly.

    What DMarket Offers

    • A cash marketplace across CS2, Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Rust.
    • Item-for-item exchange. The Trade tab lets you put items on both sides of a swap and pays the difference to or from your balance. The help centre states that only items from the same game can be exchanged.
    • Targets, DMarket's buy orders, so you can post the price you will pay and wait rather than take a listing.
    • A Trading API with generated keys, plus published rate limits, for anyone automating.
    • Mobile apps on iOS and Android, linked from the site footer.

The exchange flow has a step people miss. If the item you want to trade away is still in your Steam inventory, the help centre says you have to deposit it first by accepting a Steam trade offer within 10 minutes. Items already sitting on DMarket swap without that step.

    Money In, Money Out

DMarket's about page claims over 40 payment methods for withdrawal but does not list them, so take that as the site's claim rather than something we counted. The help centre is more useful, because it publishes expected timings.

The article on processing times states that deposits usually take a few minutes with an ETA of up to 48 hours regardless of method, and that withdrawals split three ways: crypto up to 48 hours, Payoneer, Skrill and PayPal up to 3 business days, and card, wire and SEPA transfers up to 7 working days. Those are ceilings published by DMarket, not averages we recorded. The withdrawal walkthrough adds that some methods require KYC verification first, flagged with an icon in the payout screen.

Steam's trade protection changes the picture for anything you have just deposited. DMarket's own article, updated in February 2026, says items received in an exchange cannot be sold, listed or re-traded for a period matching the longest protection time on the items you gave away, that funds from exchanging protected items may be temporarily locked, and that a rolled back Steam trade triggers an automatic full refund to your DMarket balance. That refund stays inside DMarket and can itself be locked. Plan around it if you want to sell and cash out the same day.

    Fees and Pricing

DMarket publishes a fee table in its help centre, and it is the clearest thing on the site. On the day we checked, sell fees read 2.00% on CS2 and 5.00% on Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Rust. Trade fees read 2.5% on CS2 and 2.00% on the other three.

The asterisk matters more than the number. DMarket's own footnote says the CS2 sell fee varies between 2% and 10% depending on item liquidity, with less liquid skins charged more and only liquid skins getting the flat 2%. The terms back this from the other direction, stating that each purchase and sale transaction carries a fee of up to 10% of the total. DMarket also runs a rotating list of items with reduced "hot fees".

Buyers appear to pay nothing. DMarket's affiliate documentation states that purchases from the marketplace are excluded from affiliate revenue because the buyer pays no fees on that operation. We did not run a checkout to confirm the charged total matches the listed price.

One more cost is easy to trip over. Under clause 7.10.2, a buyer who accepts a trade offer then fails to complete it on Steam within 12 hours, or declines it, is charged 2% of the failed offer's price, paid to the seller, minimum one US cent. Fees are non-refundable under clause 5.4.

    What We Have Not Verified

    • Payout speed. DMarket is not in our withdrawal tracker. Every timing above is DMarket's published ceiling, not our measurement.
    • Where the team actually sits. The terms name Delaware and Lisbon entities only. We found no other operational base stated on the site.
    • The 40+ payment methods claim. Not enumerated anywhere we could read without an account.
    • Which items get the reduced "hot fees", and how the liquidity tiers between 2% and 10% are calculated. Neither is published.
    • KYC thresholds, and which methods trigger verification. The help centre says only that some do.
    • Founding year. The about page does not state one.

    Who DMarket Is Right For

Traders who want more than a list of prices. The exchange tab, the buy orders and the API are a deeper toolkit than a plain marketplace offers, and a 2% CS2 sell fee on a liquid skin is competitive with anything in this directory. It suits people who move items often and know what their skin's liquidity looks like. It is a worse fit for a one-off seller with an unusual item, because that is exactly the case where the fee slides toward 10% and the trade protection locks bite hardest.

    SkinsVault Verdict

Rating: 4.3 / 5. DMarket is one of the better documented sites we have looked at. Named companies with register numbers, a published fee table, published withdrawal windows, and an honest footnote admitting the CS2 fee is a range rather than a rate. That last piece of transparency is also the catch. Advertising 2% while the terms permit 10% is legal and disclosed, but you only find the real number at the point of sale. Combine that with balance locks inherited from Steam trade protection and this is a platform for people who read the fine print, not for a first cash-out. We have never timed a DMarket payout ourselves and will not pretend otherwise.

Why we don't push this site

SkinsVault makes money from affiliate commissions on the 12 partner sites we link to with the SKINSVAULT code. We don't have a deal with DMarket, so signing up there earns us nothing, and we have no incentive to push you toward it. We list DMarket because it's a real platform that's worth knowing about, not because we want your signup. If you want our full conversion treatment with bonus codes and payout-tested partners, see our ranked list.

    Frequently asked

    DMarket FAQ

What fee does DMarket charge to sell a CS2 skin?

DMarket's help centre fee table showed a 2.00% CS2 sell fee when we read it on 6 August 2026, but the footnote on that table says the CS2 sell fee actually varies between 2% and 10% depending on how liquid the item is, with less liquid skins charged more. The terms of use separately state that each transaction carries a fee of up to 10% of the total. Treat 2% as the best case for a popular skin, not a flat rate. Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Rust sell fees were listed at 5.00%.

Do buyers pay a fee on DMarket?

DMarket's affiliate help articles state that purchases from the marketplace are excluded from affiliate revenue because the buyer pays no fees on that operation. That is DMarket's own wording and it is the only place on the site where we found the point addressed directly. We did not complete a checkout, so we have not confirmed that the amount charged matches the listed price.

How long does a DMarket withdrawal take?

DMarket publishes ceilings rather than averages. Its help centre article on processing times says crypto withdrawals are processed in up to 48 hours, Payoneer, Skrill and PayPal take up to 3 business days, and card, wire and SEPA transfers take up to 7 working days. Those are DMarket's figures, not timings SkinsVault has measured, because DMarket is not in our withdrawal tracker. Some withdrawal methods also require KYC verification first.

Why is my DMarket balance locked after a trade?

This is Steam's trade protection working through DMarket. DMarket's help centre article, updated in February 2026, says items received in an exchange cannot be sold, listed or re-traded for a period matching the longest protection time on the items you gave away, and that funds from exchanging trade-protected items may be temporarily locked until protection ends. If a Steam trade is rolled back, DMarket says it automatically refunds the full amount to your balance, and that refund can also be locked. Protected items carry visible timers.

What happens if you do not complete a DMarket trade on Steam in time?

The terms of use are specific about this. Clause 7.10.2 says a buyer who accepts a trade offer then fails to complete it on Steam within 12 hours, or declines it, is charged a penalty of 2% of the failed offer's price, which is taken from their balance and credited to the seller, with a minimum of one US cent. Fees and commissions on DMarket are also non-refundable under clause 5.4.

Who owns DMarket and where is it registered?

The terms of use define the operating company as DMarket Inc., registered number 7914588, a Delaware corporation in Middletown, Delaware, alongside Mythical, Inc., registered number 6843771, and Mythical Games, Unipessoal, Lda, registered number 517097346, in Lisbon, Portugal. These are corporate registrations, not gambling licences, which DMarket does not need because it does not operate gambling. Governing law and jurisdiction are Delaware. The terms we read were dated 18 December 2023.
